Amid rumours and various online reports that usually do not directly cite specific sources, police in western Austria have directly confirmed to AFP that Bilderberg 2015 is indeed going ahead. Interalpen Hotel The event will take place Thursday through Sunday, June 11th through 14th, near Innsbruck in the Tyrol region.
“We can confirm that the Bilderberg meeting will take place from June 10 to 14, 2015, at the location you mentioned in your email,” spokesman Christoph Hunderphund wrote in response to a query. “You can be reassured that all necessary police measures to ensure the security of the meeting have been planned for a long time.” Hunderphund, of the Tyrolean police command, would only provide a rough duration for the meeting.
Meanwhile, AFP confirmed that an elite counterterrorism unit under the command of the Austrian Interior Ministry will be part of the Bilderberg summit's notoriously ultra-tight security against enthusiastic but harmless protesters and journalists. Hunderphund added that “EKO-Cobra members will take part in police operations related to the G7 summit and the Bilderberg summit,” naming the elite unit. As usual, the G7 will take place on June 7-8, just before the Bilderberg summit. “German Chancellor Angela Merkel has invited the leaders of the G7 countries to Schloss Elmau, south of Munich, to discuss major global challenges within the framework of this informal grouping of major industrial countries,” a German government news release said.
Every year, protesters from “left” and “right” unite outside the Bilderberg meeting to “denounce” Bilderberg, ensuring that European media outlets do not give the Bilderberg rogues gallery a respectable overseas exposure while attempting to break what remains a virtual blackout among the American mainstream media. The Washington Post's welcome “coming out” article acknowledging the 2012 Bilderberg meeting near Chantilly, Virginia, was merely coincidental, as the US blackout has all but been reinstated. It is no wonder that the Post is closing its doors again, as for decades its publishers have been involved in the private governance of Bilderberg without reporting a single word.
If, as Bilderberger claims, their meetings are limited to “business talk” without reporters and a few rounds of golf and drinks during breaks, there would certainly be no need for a large contingent of local police or private security. A lot is at stake. At the forefront is the Western intention to arm Ukraine against Russia and risk a larger war on a “global” scale. And almost half The now Republican-led Senate has sent a letter directly to Iran. They are trying to disrupt or destroy the Obama administration's delicate negotiations to prevent Iran from (reportedly) building its first nuclear weapon.
But ironically, the leader of that effort, newly elected Sen. Tom Cotton, a warmonger from Arkansas, Logan ActSome believe an archaic federal law dating back to the late 18th century prohibits these senators from directly intervening in “diplomacy” with foreign governments, and others argue that because Cotton and others sent the open letter without having directly or indirectly spoken to Iran as senators, they did not violate the Logan Act. But the American private sector, including CEOs, bankers, think tanks, academics and some elected U.S. government officials, is supportive of Bilderberg. Apparently he has been acquainting, discussing issues and corresponding with other Bilderberg members, some of whom are now foreign officials with official duties and powers – and all in strict secrecy.
So whatever position Cotton and the other senators who signed the letter take on the Logan Act, the case that US Bilderberg members circumvented or violated that law is far clearer, and specific attendees can and should be subject to prosecution, as AFP has long argued, including during decades of coverage by the late AFP's Jim Tucker and up until the present day.
AFP first reported in its August 29, 2014 edition that the Bilderberg meetings were likely to take place in that part of Austria. The meetings would take place in the very five-star Alpine conference center that brought together bankers, royals, finance ministers, chancellors, former and current parliamentarians, parliamentarians, media moguls, tech gurus, select CEOs and think tank figures in 1988. The Bilderberg meetings were held one other time in Austria in 1979.
This year, as in recent years, Bilderberg heavyweights will convene Thursday through Sunday for their 63rd meeting in 61 years to run what has long been an intergenerational, global forum for planning and coordination, held in much tighter secrecy than similar forums such as the Trilateral Commission.
Speaking of the “Trilateralists,” they will meet this spring in Seoul, South Korea. They met in Washington in 2014, and to my surprise, this AFP reporter was the only media representative in attendance. According to a special report leaked during the meeting, containing Russia was the main agenda for the Trilaterals in 2014. And at Bilderberg 2014 in Denmark, one of the topics listed in the group's usual superficial “press release” was, as expected, “Ukraine.” This shows the cooperation between the two groups, whose members include (Trilateral Commission founder) David Rockefeller, who, working with Trilateralists co-founder and former US National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski, literally got Jimmy Carter selected for the White House behind the scenes. Brzezinski served as Carter's own security post.
