myself
On Monday, March 23, 2020, I was a gullible doctor and ignorant of the unfolding events.
I had just watched the Prime Minister announce measures to combat what could be the biggest threat to the health of the UK and the world in my lifetime. There was fear of another Spanish flu, or something worse. People could die on the streets, as a shocking video from China (aired by major news outlets) suggested.
At first I believed everything Boris Johnson said. If emergency measures are not taken, the National Health Service, where I have worked for almost 40 years, will be overwhelmed. It may collapse. And the unspoken understanding is that when a virus, heart attack, injury, drug reaction, etc. happens, there will be no one left to take care of us. How many NHS staff will remain to treat cancer and support pregnant women?
So I went into lockdown for the next few weeks without question. And like all the people I spoke to, I was deeply concerned. A hugely successful media campaign of fear has just begun, and we are still living in fear today.
But then I realized the following. airport It had not been shut down and millions of people were arriving from all over the world, including Wuhan, the “virus epicenter”. Rather than trying to identify the cause of the disease, weHealthy people, not sick people, were quarantined (that is, confined to their homes like prisoners). This is a complete reversal of the use of isolation known from pre-Roman times.
Then my gullibility began to turn into skepticism and mistrust of the government and its officials. I constantly grapple with my own stupidity through knowledge acquisition, discussion, and exploration. This process is ongoing.
you
Patient. That means you. Or I mean me when I'm sick.
What do you think about that? We all need accurate information so we can make informed decisions about real risks and best treatments. My body, my choices.
The information received from various ministries and agencies was truly frightening. Professor Neil Ferguson, of Imperial College, made a number of 'modeled' predictions that are now laughable, but not at the time. Mortality figures varied by more than a few percentage points. This could have resulted in hundreds of thousands of deaths in the UK, possibly over a million.
But the actual numbers of likely outcomes were hidden in the background. cruise ship diamond princesswas infected with the new coronavirus infection (Covid-19) on a flight in early 2020 and was temporarily quarantined in Yokohama. There were approximately 35,000 souls on board, of whom 13 are thought to have died.
- 12 people are over 70 years old;
- People over 60 years old,
- And no one is under 60.
This means the mortality rate is less than 0.4%. It is important to recognize that no Young and middle-aged people died. We now know that the average age of death from the new coronavirus is over 80 years old.
It is hard to believe that the government was not aware of this information during the lockdown month of March 2020. There is no doubt that at least the Chief Medical Officer had access to these numbers.
And even though the WHO downgraded the severity of the disease in mid-March 2020 (in front Johnson's edict), we were still in lockdown on March 23rd.
why?
GMC
The powers of the British General Medical Council are:
To protect, promote, and maintain public health and safety by ensuring appropriate standards in the practice of medicine.
On April 3, 2020, I received an email from GMC.
It said:
As part of the UK Government's response to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, your registration and license to practice has been temporarily reinstated.
I had deregistered about 5 years ago to retire (I was a general vascular surgeon).
GMC knew nothing about my physical or mental condition in 2020.
What I mean is that they had I don't know if I'm fit to practice.
This measure can only be interpreted as a blind panic on their part. They were also preparing to expose me and other retirees to higher risks compared to younger colleagues because I am in a high-risk age group.
As the year progressed, I began to have strong doubts that the constant talk of a “vaccine” to treat COVID-19 would make the panic and hysteria of 2020 a thing of the past.
Now, if a vaccine is found to be safe and effective, it will take five to 10 years to develop. And many of these vaccines use new mRNA technology and cannot be used for long periods of time. Anyuseful for subject follow-up. We were told they were “safe and effective” but were given no studies to prove it. This narrative now appears to be rapidly unraveling.
However, these vaccines are strongly supported by the GMC.
in statement Earlier this year, they said:
For those who have not yet been fully vaccinated (doctors), we strongly encourage them to do so.
The GMC said GPs (general practitioners) have a “professional responsibility to vaccinate people”.
GMC (as well as their Australian and Canadian counterparts) warned GP:
Criticizing coronavirus vaccines and other pandemic measures via social media could make you “vulnerable” to a GMC investigation.
The GMC therefore censored that discussion, as do most medical forums around the world.
The essence of science and medicine is open and honest discussion. Discuss alternative views. and to derive the best and safest response to the disease.
GMC appears to have fully accepted the government's arguments. They have supported government policy and excluded the opinions of thousands of medical experts who disagree with the coronavirus response. More than 40,000 of us have signed the Great Barrington Declaration, which criticizes lockdowns on the grounds that they do more harm than good.
Thousands more have campaigned widely for honest debate. Some doctors around the world have had their medical licenses revoked simply for questioning popular political discourse.
During this period, there are many Events and deaths after vaccination have been reported and the GMC will consider them before recommending any further injections (you've heard of two vaccines and two boosters!) to both doctors and patients. You could do worse.
In my view, the GMC is failing in its mission to protect patients. Nor has it fulfilled its mission of properly regulating doctors.
