David Scott and Debi Evans spend an uplifting moment with a nurse who asks questions.
“Am I a conspiracy theorist or do I just see things differently?”?This is the question that RGN RMN Jenna Platt, an NHS trained nurse, poses to all those who want to call her a conspiracy theorist when she just asked a perfectly reasonable question.? Desperate to make a difference and ask those questions, Jenna literally went all out to stand up for truth, kindness, and answers.
He walked 240 miles from his home in Stoke-on-Trent completely alone, in uniform, to personally deliver a letter to the Prime Minister during the lockdown (and in some cases), and then He was prepared to lose everything, including his job, home, and safety, to take action. Ask questions that most people are too afraid to ask. Fearless and visible to all, Jenna safely arrives at Downing Street to deliver the letter. To her surprise, upon arrival, she was not allowed to hand the letter to the police guarding the gate and had to walk to the postbox to drop it.
At great cost to herself and her husband, Jenna went on to become a highly successful speaker. She describes how she relied on the kindness and generosity of strangers to keep her going and keep her safe. Sneaking into people's homes for fear of being seen by police or neighbors, Jenna has come to rely on her connections with supporters who provide her with couches and beds for the night. are putting not only Jenna's safety at risk, but their own as well.
Is coercion considerate? Were nurses seduced by public affirmation and admiration, or were they unknowingly “pushed'' away from their own codes of conduct? Jenna was alarmed by the hostility she was receiving and was confused as to why her co-workers were angry. All she was doing was following the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Professional Code of Conduct. Why would they be so furious about something like that?
Complaining to the NMC, Jenna handed over a letter highlighting all the violations of the code of conduct of which she was aware. Jenna risked a £10,000 fine for organizing a nurses' meeting during lockdown. A clear conscience was more important to her than a bank balance. With little to gain and so much to lose, Jenna continues her campaign to ask the questions all nurses have. trained to ask. Looking back on the lockdown process, Jenna still finds it hard to understand how she had to act like an escaped prisoner just to deliver a letter to government leaders. After all, we live in a democratic, free society, right?
Along with her fully supportive husband, Jenna has pioneered her own path with quiet dignity, wisdom, integrity, and kindness. Despite being investigated by the NMC, Jenna is not scared or worried. She calmly cites her professional code of conduct to naysayers. No nurse would argue with this. Jenna is more than just a nurse. She is a real nurse, gentle, humble and kind. Who could have imagined that in 2021 in the UK, a kind-hearted nurse would consider purchasing a stab vest?
However, amidst the chaos, oppression, and hostility, Jenna has made many new friends, gained many supporters, and received great respect from those who appreciate her altruism and compassion. Nurses are trained to observe, they are trained to comfort, and they are trained to care. There are currently many nurses who insist on staying in the NHS and care sector to keep patients safe and care for them as if they were their own family.
However, some of the remaining do not have Caring for patients in accordance with the NMC Code of Conduct. On the contrary, they are violating the very norms they promised to uphold. She described how nurses would see her uniform and approach her, whispering things like “good job” and “thank you” in her ear, before disappearing into the shadows again for fear of being seen. Her message to all nurses and care workers is: Do you sleep at night knowing that you are following professional standards of conduct, or do you seem distant, feeling like you have been “nudged”, coerced, or bullied? From all that was trained to follow?
