To mark four decades since the start of her solo career, acclaimed singer Alison Moyet launched a 40-part podcast series called “40 Moyet Moments” this week.
In each episode, which will be released every Monday and Thursday, Allison sits down with her longtime media manager, Steve Court Dennis, as she talks about key moments in her career, including successes, failures and everything in between.
Over the course of the 20-week series, the artist's brutal honesty, trademark humour and many surprising anecdotes will be revealed.
Following the release of the first two episodes this week, the podcast debuted at number one on Apple Podcasts' UK Top Music Shows chart and number two on Spotify's UK Top Music Podcasts chart.
The series of episodes leads up to the release of her new album, “Key,” on October 4, which features 16 remade singles, fan favorites, deep cuts and two new songs.
Alison says: “I wanted to take this opportunity to look back over the trajectory of the last 40 years and explore some songs that never got realised the way they were meant to, or whose relevance to me has changed over time.”
