What did I miss?
Adam Lambert's fans are so impressed with his interviewing skills that they're calling for him to launch his own podcast series.
American Idol star and Queen singer Adam Lambert appeared in the ITV documentary “Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud” where he spoke to people in the music industry about his experiences being gay and being a celebrity.
His chat was a big hit with viewers, who said they wanted to hear more and praised Lambert's questioning style.
Lambert opens up about being gay and his traumatic experiences in the music industry in ITV documentary Out, Loud and Proud, including at one point being asked by a US morning TV show to apologise for kissing a man on stage, with footage of the moment showing his lips blurred.
But he wasn't the only one telling important stories: Viewers praised the singer for his ability to interview big stars with skill and empathy.
What, how and why?
Lambert spoke to his Queen bandmates Brian May and Roger Taylor about the challenges Freddie Mercury faced, as well as stars such as Skins, Andy Bell and MNEK.
One viewer commented about X: “This Out, Loud and Proud documentary on @ITV was amazing! Too bad there wasn't enough time to fit more interviews in! Adam Lambert is a great interviewer and definitely deserves his own podcast series.”
Someone else agreed: “@adamlambert needs to host every show with a capital T. Get 'Oprah' honey. #perfect #OutLoudAndProud.”
Another fan added: “Watching the Adam Lambert documentary on ITV1. Amazing to see a documentary like this in primetime. Keep it up Adam!”
What else happened on 'Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud'?
The most interesting interview was between Lambert and Skunk Anansie star Skin, who spoke about the prejudice he faced at the height of his success.
She said: “People always ask me: 'What matters most to you: being black, being gay or being a woman?' I can't separate those parts of myself. I deal with it all as a black gay woman from Brixton.”
Lambert and Skinn also reflected on Skunk Anansie's headline show at Glastonbury, which Skinn said was largely forgotten due to the band receiving so little coverage in the press despite being played to a sold-out festival crowd.
Adam Lambert: Out, Loud and Proud is on ITVX.
