The Hungry Podcast focuses on challenger food and drink brands, interviewing their founders and exploring what it takes to build a successful business that can take on the bigger players.
In last week's episode, host Dan Pope visited Vincenzo's Pizza on Bushey High Street to quiz founder Tom Vincent.
Dan said he'd watched the pizza grow from afar “for years” and described how much he'd enjoyed the “amazingly tasty” pizza he'd had.
“He makes pizza like no one else can,” the presenter added. “He's bringing pizza to life with Crisp W6.”
“Some say they pioneered 'London pizza'.
“We go behind the scenes of Slice and unearth a story full of courage, passion and 20 years of sleepless nights.”

Vincenzo opened in September 2022 and has been a hit on social media as well as in the Bushey area, receiving rave reviews including being named “Number One Pizza in the UK” by popular YouTube channel Food Review Club.
The restaurant is small, with seating for only eight people, reservations are first-come, first-served, and they offer takeaway rather than delivery.
The podcast delved into some of the unique aspects of Vincenzo's, including how they sell out within minutes every morning and how they have to turn away walk-in customers throughout the day.

This includes people traveling from overseas, including New York, to try Vincenzo's because of its reputation for quality.
Tom also revealed the struggle it took him two years to find the location in the first place.
“I was looking for a store around here and it was really hard to find one,” he said. “I would find an empty store, put up a sign and make calls, but I just wasn't getting anywhere.”
“There were many times when I hit a dead end or almost failed.
“I thought I'd found the perfect shop but then I was turned away because the city council wouldn't allow me to install ventilation fans and residents were complaining about parking.”
Nevertheless, he hinted at the possibility of opening another location or a larger store in London, saying “we'd be fools not to open another one.”
