Bestselling author and chart-topping podcaster Elizabeth Day launches her latest project, “The Podclass™.”
With Elizabeth Day serving as executive producer, each season will feature a different “how-to” master class, hosted by an expert in their field and covering topics such as how to date and how to be funny.
Podclass™ is an evolution of Day’s trademarked educational podcast series from his new podcast production company, Daylight Productions.
Launched from How To Write A Book, the new venture forms part of the How To family, which also includes Elizabeth's popular podcast How To Fail.
Hosted by bestselling author Sarah Collins, leading agent Nell Andrew and publisher Charmaine Lovegrove, the 12-week series will take listeners from conception to completion.
Experts provide practical knowledge and advice, focusing on developing plot, creating compelling characters, and mastering persuasive dialogue.
Each episode delves into how to find an idea and the best way to execute it, with periodic exercises for listeners along the way. The hosts also share their own influences, from Tom Ripley to Gone Girl, Jane Austen to Jane Fallon, Peaky Blinders to Succession.
Elizabeth, an executive producer and best-selling author, introduces each episode and offers her final thoughts. Midway through the season, the three hosts will switch positions and interview Elizabeth about her own creative process.
Elizabeth is committed to removing the barriers to accessing expertise and knowledge, and in this series she is providing all these valuable insights completely free of charge. If you're in the midst of a creative journey, you can watch all 12 episodes at once on our subscription service.
How To Podclass™ is the first podcast series produced by Daylight Productions in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment.
Elizabeth said: “How to Write a Book is the perfect show to launch this new chapter in our How To series. Our main hosts, Sarah, Charmaine and Nell, are three of the most influential voices in publishing.”
“Each episode will be packed with insight and practical tips, but you'll also tune in for the pure joy of hearing about the dynamics of their easy-going, hilarious friendship.”
New episodes of “How To Write A Book” will be available every Monday for 12 weeks starting July 22nd.
