The Daily Mail podcast has surpassed 30 million downloads for the first time.
The milestone comes after multiple Mail podcasts have topped the charts on both Apple and Spotify in the past few months.
dmg media’s audio portfolio has expanded significantly since the appointment of award-winning producer and broadcaster Jamie East a year ago.
The company started with the hit podcast “The Case of Lucy Letby” and now boasts double-digit chart-topping shows covering everything from celebrity life and gossip to sports and politics.
Crime documentaries play a vital role in attracting listeners, and the series “The Trial” has captivated audiences across the globe.
“Lord Lucan,” “Lucy Letby: Baby K” and “The Holly Willoughby plot” have all topped the Apple and Spotify charts in recent months.
Jamie East, head of podcasting at dmg media, said: “Reaching such an incredible milestone in such a short space of time is testament to the hard work of our podcasting team and the unparalleled support of our editors and the whole dmg network.
“We're incredibly excited because we feel like we've only just begun to realize our potential. We can't wait for everyone to see what we've created.”
More podcasts are already in production, with shows on history and health due to arrive in the coming weeks, and you can apply now to take part in the next series of Apple and the Tree.
