Podspace hires three industry veterans as it kicks off global expansion

Podspace has hired three senior executives as it embarks on international expansion.

Industry veteran Öjje Holt, co-founder of Acast and former CEO of Spotify in the Nordics, will join as growth director.

Eeva Ronkainen will take on the role of Country Manager for the newly opened Helsinki office, while Johan Leijonhufvud will take on the role of Senior Client Manager.

Both Ronkainen and Leijonhufvud have extensive experience in the audio media sector, including many years at Spotify.

Podspace, a podcast platform and marketplace, has a significant presence in the Nordic market through strategic partnerships with industry leaders such as Bonnier News, Perfect Day Media and Podme.

Öjje Holt said: “I know Podspace and its young, energetic team very well, so when they offered me the position, I didn't hesitate for a second. I'm looking forward to contributing with my strong network, global relationships and extensive experience in successful go-to-market strategies (including the pitfalls to avoid).”

With the three new appointments, Podspace aims to expand its platform and marketplace beyond the Nordic region.
