The 2024 British Podcast Awards took place last night, with Dr Clare Bailey-Mosley accepting the 'Hall of Fame' award on behalf of her late husband Dr Michael Mosley.
The star-studded event, held at HERE in Outernet, central London, was hosted by comedian and podcaster Marcus Brigstock. Presenters in this category include Rylan Clark & Scott Mills, Annie Mac, Olivia Atwood, Emily Maitlis, John Sopel & Lewis Goodall, Joan McNally, Jordan North & William Hanson, Hilary & Michael -Contains white holes.
When Dr Claire Bailey-Mosley accepted her late husband's award on the BBC's hugely popular podcast Just One Thing, in an emotional moment she said:
“Michael knew that Just One Thing truly connected with people and loved the simplicity of its format and the ability to genuinely help people. The comments show that not only did they love the podcast, but they also loved Michael.
In closing, she said, “Life may be shorter than you imagine. So if there's one thing you'll do today, hug the people you love and tell them they're loved. Never take the time to… Don't take it for granted,'' he concluded with a touching memory.

Podcast of the year went to Audible's “Press Play, Turn On,” which dives into the world of audio porn for gays and people with disabilities.
Hosted by Jordan North and William Hanson, fan favorite Help I Sexted My Boss (Audio Always) won the coveted Listener's Choice Award on the night decided by public vote. as the only award for its enduring popularity among podcast enthusiasts.
