British Lebanese comic and podcaster Esther Manit returns for a second year as host of the Independent Podcast Awards.
Manito is the co-host of “Ghastly Women,” and her television credits include “Live At The Apollo,” “The Stand Up Sketch Show,” and “Hypothetical.” She has also been a guest on “Off Menu,” “Parenting Hell,” and the “Drunk Women Solving Crime” podcast.
The Independent Podcast Awards, to be held on October 23rd at King's Place, London, celebrates the independent talent of UK-based podcasters who do not receive financial support from major brands. Co-founded by whynow and Verbal Diorama in 2023. they.
The award's shortlist will be announced on September 16th and will recognize 137 podcasts across 27 categories, selected from around 450 entries received. The overall Podcast of the Year is chosen from winners in each genre-based category.
Esther Manito says: “I hosted the first-ever Independent Podcast Awards last year, and I’m thrilled to be hosting it again this year. It’s amazing how many truly creative and amazing podcasts there are out there. I’m looking forward to seeing who wins!”
