“Dennis Never Came Home” is a new podcast that investigates the story behind a small-town murder that left one family searching for answers for decades.
The series, produced by Sony Music Entertainment and Emmy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated storyteller Mark Smarling's Truth Media, is hosted by New Jersey native Anthony Scalia.
The story is set in Bergen County, New Jersey, outside of New York City, a safe and peaceful community where people move to raise their families. Until one day in 1969, the body of a young girl was found strangled to death in a roadside bush. A crime that remains unsolved to this day.
The podcast features interviews with victims' families and the law enforcement agencies investigating the case, something never before heard, and Scalia explains how this violent murder happened in his community. He begins a personal journey to find out who is responsible for this crime.
Teaming up with the victim's sister, Karen Falasca, who claims to have last seen her sister alive, Scalia finally uncovers the truth about a cold case that has puzzled local police for decades.
Anthony Scalia said: “I had just graduated from college when I heard about the 1969 murder of Dennis Falasca near my hometown.
“I had no formal training or investigative skills, but I wanted to help in some way, so I contacted her sister Karen.
“We had no idea how far our partnership would take us. Not only would we have answers to all of Karen's questions, but we would also like to thank Denise's family and friends for nearly 50 years. It can give you the peace you've been craving.”
