“Politics podcasts have changed political news. In an era of rapid reporting and angry politics, they're reinvigorating long interviews, deep dives, and respectful debate. They sound effortless and casual. But it's a huge amount of effort, and that's why I want to celebrate their success.
“For many, these podcasts remind us of the art of rational and fair debate, and provide deeper insight and connection to the issues facing contemporary Britain and the wider world. A bountiful crop for politics. In 2018, at such a critical time for global politics, it felt only right to honor those who have brought us closer to the issues and people at the heart of our political system.”
