BBC Radio 5 Live's podcast Brown Girls Do It Too is back with a new all-male spin-off series.
The series “Brown Girls Do It Too: Big Boy Energy” will be hosted by Poppy Jay as co-host Rubina Pavani is on maternity leave. Poppy is joined by celebrity co-hosts to explore love, sex and relationships from a male perspective.
Topics such as Mummy Boy, Guy Code, and what it takes to be a man are covered throughout the series.
Poppy explains: I do deep research to find out what men want, what they really, really want.
“As I dive into the abyss, I don’t have to go into the nooks and crannies of the male psyche to get answers that are frankly baffling in modern society.
“We have some great co-hosts joining us in the conversation, and we can’t wait for our listeners to join us on this journey of discovery and exploration of big-boy energy.”
The first episode features actor, writer and comedian Asim Chaudhry, best known for his role as Chabadi G on the hit BBC sitcom People Just Do Nothing, as he talks about his first heartbreak, his experience of adolescence, toxic masculinity, And he reveals why he fell out of love. I believe that people can be deceived.
“I think men have always cheated a lot. I think men have always been afraid of commitment. I honestly think so,” he says. “There are a lot of men in their 30s who have regressed a lot but still live like they're in their 20s. They're still looking for the new and shiny, especially when we talk about cheating. .
“I think women who cheat are more likely to cheat with someone like an ex-lover or an acquaintance, because they feel more secure and have a more emotional connection than cheating with a random guy.'' is.”
Other guest co-hosts on Big Boy Energy include digital creator and podcaster Wajee West, British actor and model Ramzan Mia, comedian and social media star Shahbaz Sayes, and Netflix star and cultural producer Ryan Lange, journalist and filmmaker Mobeen Azhar, and others are scheduled to appear.
