Handsome, the popular podcast by comedians Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin, has joined Comedy Podcast Network Headgum.
This comes after the podcast reached 20 million views in just over a year.
Handsome's ad sales are managed through Gumball, a Headgum-owned marketplace where advertisers can buy host-read ads directly from podcasters.
The team will also begin recording video episodes on a semi-regular basis from Headgum's Los Angeles studio in the coming months.
Each episode features real-life friends Notaro, Feimster, and Martin getting glimpses from guests including names like Tom Hanks, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon, Hannah Berner, Gabrielle Union, and more. Try to answer simple and stupid questions.
Questions included Drew Barrymore's “What do you do when you see a big booger on someone's nose?” and Nikki Glazer's “What's the best compliment you've ever received?” ?'' and “Do you like horror movies?''. ”, questions from Paul Giamatti, and many more that the hosts use as springboards for anecdotes, jokes, and even helpful insights into human nature.
Upcoming guests include Abby Wambach, Molly Shannon, Nelly Furtado, Melissa McCarthy, and Ben Falcone.
Tig Notaro, Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin said:
“Since then, our topics have ranged from heartfelt and touching to downright nonsense. Our handsome listeners keep asking for more. We're happy to We are excited to bring Handsome to Headgum and do even more for our viewers.”
Kaity Muth, Vice President of Content at Headgum, commented:
