Steven Bartlett's The Diary Of A CEO has reached 1 billion views/listens on Apple, Spotify, and YouTube. This is a British first, and one of the world's firsts.
This follows news that Apple has once again confirmed that the podcast is the biggest podcast of the year in the UK by downloads for the third year in a row.
And Bartlett's Flight Studio is currently the third largest podcast channel in the UK, despite only releasing three shows: The Diary Of A CEO, Paul C. Brunson's We Need To Talk and Davina McCall's Begin Again is. Flight Studios is only beaten by the BBC (53 shows) and Wonderly (251 shows).
Stephen Bartlett launched CEO Diary in 2017 with the aim of interviewing entrepreneurs in the UK business world.
Initially an audio-first show, Bartlett quickly recognized its potential and in 2019 moved to develop the podcast into a video-first experience that viewers could follow on YouTube.
Since then, the podcast has featured a wide range of celebrities including Simon Cowell, Jada Pinkett Smith, Boris Johnson, Seth Rogan, Maisie Williams, Thierry Henry, Richard Branson and many other celebrities. It brought together world-class experts and talents. We platform global experts from a variety of industries, as well as neuroscientists Dr. Tara Swart, Dr. Vonda Wright, and Simon Cowell, who have amassed millions of views.
The Diary Of A CEO is the #1 podcast in Europe and the second largest podcast in the world on YouTube. In November 2023, it became Apple's No. 1 show and most followed podcast in the UK, and was also ranked 9th in the world on Spotify's 2023 Wrapped. He has over 8 million subscribers on YouTube and has published nearly 600 episodes to date.
