Next Chapter Podcasts has partnered with TogetherUp Institute and E Pluribus Unum to launch a new podcast, Reimagining Us.
Hosted by behavioral scientist Dr. Nichole Argo, founder and executive director of TogetherUp Institute, and Scott Hutcheson, executive director of E Pluribus Unum, this series explores what's behind today's divisive sentiments.
It also aims to identify how frayed social fabrics can be rewoven by fostering connection, cooperation and a sense of belonging.
The eight-part series serves as an important tool for healing division, designing our lives and communities for belonging, and empowering the movement of “builders.”
Dr. Argo said: “Everyday Americans inspired this podcast. People tell us they're disappointed in the fraying social fabric of their communities.
Through countless surveys, focus groups, and interviews we've conducted in recent years, people report feeling unseen but afraid to use their voice. You feel unmotivated, but you lack confidence in your ability to make a difference even if you try.
“Most importantly, and most of all, they say they want to come together across differences to solve real problems.
“The fact is, 87% of Americans are exhausted by today's aggressive identity politics. They're tired of dynamics that only tear us apart, and they want to build better communities. We want to build it, and we want to make it happen together. Our reimagining aims to shed light on how to do that in the context of this moment.”
Jeremiah Tittle, Founder and CEO of Next Chapter Podcasts, added: “We are very excited to work with TogetherUp Institute and E Pluribus Unum to advance education and constructive narratives that counter the perception that we are divided as a country. Empathy, community as an antidote , embrace the power of belonging.
“Nicole and Scott have an organic on-air chemistry that is impossible to create, built on curiosity, friendship, and respect not only for each other but for listeners seeking answers.
“My hope is that these conversations will unite us at the local level and make us stronger as a nation.”
The first episode of Reimagining Us is available now on all podcast platforms, with new episodes added every Tuesday. Full-length videos are published weekly on YouTube and Spotify.
