“Me and my Mixtape” is a new weekly podcast about the art of creating and curating the perfect 10-track mixtape.
Hosted by Matt Hughes of the podcast “Three is the Magic Number'' and Mark Uyatt of the podcast “Mark and Me,'' the two discuss, analyze, and get excited about different music and topics of all types every week. and curate the perfect 10-track mixtape. .
A weekly mixtape playlist will also be posted on Spotify so that fans of the podcast can enjoy the music from each episode.
Matt Hughes said: “I love mixtapes, I love playlists, I love making music mixes for people, and I wanted to create and launch a podcast about this finely crafted art, and the perfect 10-track It seemed like a very logical way to make a mixtape.
“This means I've been making playlists for people to raise money for food banks during lockdown, and I've been making mix CDs every year for 10 years for family and friends as Christmas presents.
“The first car I bought was crap, but it had a great tape player, and it really helped nurture my first obsession with perfect mixtapes, made by friends or myself. '' with my good friend and brilliant podcaster Mark,'' Woodyatt created something special (I hope people agree). ”
Mark Woodyatt added: I was finally able to share my love of music with one of my closest friends.
“The challenge of taking a weekly trip down memory lane and pure nostalgia, choosing just five songs each, wasn’t easy, but I’m loving every step of the journey we’re on. This is such an exciting journey. On the podcast, we already have big plans for season two.

Me and My Mixtape will launch with a pilot episode on December 6th, followed by Season 1 beginning January 6th with new episodes airing every Friday for 10 weeks. A special guest joins the pair on the final podcast of each season, adding a third voice to the mixtape-making chat.
