Content is Queen has launched its 2024 Podcaster Microgrants Program to help creators around the world realize their podcasting visions.
The program offers cash grants to creators, with 10 of them receiving £1,000 each and another 10 receiving £500 each. These grants will help creators develop trailers, original pilots, and special episodes for existing series.
In addition to a cash grant, selected creators will receive production support from Content is Queen, including guidance on development, editing and access to Somerset House studios.
Creators will also have the opportunity to pitch their shows to Audible for potential commissioning and further development.
Amber Miller, Microgrants Program Leader at Content is Queen, said:
“We appreciate Audible’s continued support of this program, which has become an essential part of the podcast funding landscape.
“The industry has been very tough on small, independent creators these days, and we know that opportunities like this are few and far between, which is why we are looking forward to welcoming a new group of amazing creators in 2024. We would like to start supporting you.”
This program is open to creators around the world who are 18 years of age or older. Businesses with more than 10 employees (or with a turnover of more than £50,000), businesses with Content is Queen or Audible employees, friends or family members are not eligible to apply.
Applications are being accepted here until January 3, 2025, and successful applicants will be contacted by February 14. For more information, please visit the Content is Queen website.
