The shortlist for the inaugural Political Podcast Awards, sponsored by Google, has been announced by iNHouse Communications.
The winners of the 11 awards will be announced at a ceremony in Westminster on January 29, 2025, hosted by broadcaster and former MP Giles Brandreth.
The awards are judged by an independent panel chaired by Good Morning Britain's political director Anne Alexander. She includes Deputy Leader of the House of Commons Caroline Noakes, Scottish Labor leader Anas Sarwar MSP, Deputy Mayor of London Mete Cobban, former minister Sir Ed Visey, Downing Street political director Claire Reynolds, Women2Win founder Baroness Anne Jenkin; and CPS director and Sunday Times columnist Robert Colville.
All shortlisted podcasts will be automatically nominated for the Podcast of the Year Award (sponsored by Diageo) and the People's Choice Award. The People's Choice Award will be determined by public voting beginning in January.
