Goalhanger launches first-ever multichannel advertising campaign in partnership with Spotify.
This coincides with a brand refresh that encourages viewers to explore Goalhanger's programming on Spotify and features a new logo and style guide, highlighting the company's new identity.
The campaign features nine unique scenes, each featuring a diverse group of people hooked on their favorite goal-hanger shows.
The host appears with them and blends into everyday scenes, such as when someone is making a cup of tea, relaxing on a couch, or sitting on a park bench. This visual storytelling brings the podcast listening experience to life and highlights Spotify as the place to enjoy these shows.
Examples include 'The Rest Is Politics', where hosts Alastair Campbell and Rory Stewart discuss foreign policy, and 'The Rest Is History', where Dominic Sandbrook and Tom Holland discuss the importance of crossing the Rubicon. ” etc. Featuring Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Micah Richards scoring top-level goals, 'The Rest Is Football' creates an experience that puts listeners in the room with their favorite hosts.
Written by Joel Emery, lead writer for the Goalhanger audio drama Sherlock & Co., each scene is interconnected, with words and phrases that seamlessly connect each segment to the next. It ends with a chain reaction effect throughout the campaign.
The ads will run across social media and digital platforms, with another creative campaign featuring on major screens outside the home for the remainder of 2024.
Famous locations include Leicester Square, Eat Street (Westfield London) and Meridian Steps (Westfield Stratford City).
