Entries for ARIAS 2025 open tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th, with newly updated awards as the industry flourishes and grows.
There are currently 21 categories for entries and the winners will be announced at a ceremony at ODEON Luxe in Leicester Square on Wednesday 14th May.
This year, there will be a new jury chair, Phil Riley, who has overseen the judging process for over 10 years, and will be succeeded by Bob Shennan, an audio industry leader with over 30 years of media experience.
As ARIAS's new Jury Chair, Mr. Shenan will be hosting a webinar on Tuesday, January 14th about how to enter and what the judges are looking for. Further details will be announced later.
Bob Shenan said: “I am honored to follow in Phil Riley’s footsteps as Chair of the Radio Academy ARIAS jury. Phil did a great job in our field and left a huge legacy. It's thriving.
“We truly believe that our country boasts the best content and the best creative talent in the world, and it is our ambition that The ARIAS proves that every year.”
Phil Riley said: He is undoubtedly one of the leading figures in the industry and will do a fantastic job ensuring that ARIAS remains the leading awards in British audio and radio for the next 10 years.
“We have really exciting plans for the future of ARIAS and I look forward to watching the awards continue to grow over the coming years with great pride.”
The Radio Academy is once again partnering with Podcasting, Serious Awards Fund to make the entry process as accessible as possible. The fund will reimburse independent audio producers of color and people who identify as LGBTQ+ for the cost of submitting audio awards.
Nomination entries will open tomorrow on the Radio Academy website. Early entry closes January 22nd and all entries are due by February 12th.
Aradhna Tayal Leach, Managing Director of The Radio Academy, said: “After a truly exciting year with some of the world’s biggest audio sensations emerging from the UK, we are extremely excited to launch The Radio Academy ARIAS 2025.
