The Martin Talk Show has officially set a new world record for most of the guests featured in one podcast episode.
Martin Colton won 140 guests in a recording session at the Victoria Hall Theatre in Harlow on Saturday, January 25th.
Previous records were 137 guests, but a new record was achieved during the recording of an episode titled “World Records Podcast – 140 guests in one episode – Did we do that?” Ta.
As Martin explains, there was a reason behind the record-breaking attempt. “Last year I experienced the great loss of two dear friends.
“During these difficult times, I had the privilege of witnessing the incredible love, care and support that St. Clair Hospice offers. Their caring work was a must-have for me on my last day. Not only did the family come into contact with them and provided comfort and strength when they needed them most.
“Inspired by this experience, I decided to take action in their honor. In memory of my friends, I made this fundraising event to reflect the values they cherished. I organized. My endless enthusiasm for charitable fundraising and the unwavering sense of community among others inspired me to connect people in unique and ambitious ways.
“This record-breaking event wasn’t just about making history, it was about making more people in our community with access to the exceptional care that St. Clair Hospice offers.
“Hospice is a local charity that supports adults facing life-limiting illnesses, terminally ills, and families dealing with grief. They also have an incredible job. Regardless, they rely heavily on donations to continue their mission.”
This special episode welcomed guests from a variety of backgrounds, including theater, music, dance, film, comedy and more. Each of them brought a unique perspective, energy and passion to the conversation.
It wasn't just about setting up records. It was about providing a platform for artists and creatives to amplify their voices in ways that have never been done before.
Not only was it a world-destruction event, it also raised £900 for charity.
Since its inception, the Martin Talk Show has been about exploring the creative world in ways that push boundaries and inspirational.
