In the third episode, his wife Sarah also looks back at the changes Jackie had with her breast cancer. more.
“She was not only a wife and my child's mother, but a warrior who fought cancer and I loved her even more.”
In addition to its impact on intimate relationships, the podcast also explores subjects such as female physical changes and sense of identity.
In episode 3, husbands Janet and Paul are among the panelists arguing what Janet describes as “an attack on (her) femininity.” Hair and chest loss as a result of chemotherapy and mastectomy.
Paul discusses the emotional impact on his partner, explaining it, reflecting the moment Jennett sent him a photo of her shaved hair. “I was shocked by the change and felt guilty for being shocked because Janet seemed fine with it. I've always loved her hair.”
Paul continues to explain how Janet's breast cancer led to “falling in love with her again,” but the argument agrees with changes in her life and her body, as panelists argue. I continue to investigate Janet's efforts. The pros and cons of reconstructive surgery, and its impact on intimacy and physical self-confidence.
The fourth episode also explores tools that women with breast cancer seek intimacy and body image advice. Guests are offering strict warnings about the dangers of “Dr Google” and social media.
Internationally renowned hormone expert and author, Professor Anis Muhaji, has said that social media offers a forum and that many women need to feel confident about these subjects. Because of this, it reflects both the good and the bad. Be confident in speaking up your concerns to your medical team about the topic.
“I hope these conversations will help you get more empowered and seek help and not feel embarrassed about it.”
The podcast is the brainchild of fundraiser Margo Cornish, who is the founder of the Booby Campaign, an annual fundraiser for preventing breast cancer in Greater Manchester.
Produced alongside Jamie Griffiths and Kyle Evans from Golden Cat Studios, Margo explained: And discussing these issues can be taboo even in the aftermath of breast cancer diagnosis, even in the most loving relationships.
“Issues like body image and self-confidence can create long-term barriers to returning to normal life, even after the breast cancer battle has been won, and women can share these experiences in open discussions. I wanted to create space for it.
“Podcasts are an important step in conversation about their intimate role in cancer diagnosis and survival. Podcasts can help you navigate sensitive questions, whether they are other women experiencing breast cancer. It helps to open these important conversations to you, or simply provide support and peace of mind that it is important to talk about intimacy, gender, and narcissism. All women Part of the journey.”
Jamie Griffiths and Kyle Evans of Golden Cat Studios said: I hope it will be helpful to others who are facing these challenges with cancer. ”
Podcast host Jo Lloyd added:
“This podcast offers a new direction for many of these women who have only discussed these topics in a closed room. I'm honored to host this, and they'll hear it I look forward to hearing about other women's experiences once I get it.”
