Australian clockwork films and British Chalk & Blade are collaborating with the IheartPodcasts for Us True Crime series.
The podcast, named Crying Wolf, is hosted by award-winning journalist and author Dax-Devlon Ross.
The 10-part series investigates Chicago, the false confession capital of America, and tells both stories of tragic murder investigations, corrupt police stations and a story of friendship comparable to Shawshank's red-fought.
“We've seen a lot of experience in the world,” said Ruth Burns, founder and creative director. “Chalke + Blade enjoys stories that challenge the theme and challenge the status quo.
Executive producer clockwork film Naomi Harvey adds:
“It's not just about the story of Lee Harris, a man who was unfairly imprisoned for murder, but the story of a victim who has never achieved justice, the unlikely and incredible friendship created, It is also the legacy Lee left behind him.”
Crying Wolf is expected to be released later this year using IheartPodcasts on all podcast platforms. Clockwork films are in the early stages of developing it for scripted adaptations.
