Edison Research has released its top 25 UK podcasts, based on its fourth quarter reach of 2024, among weekly podcast listeners over the age of 15.
Joe Rogan's experience, the rest is politics, and Stephen Bartlett's CEO's diary holds their spot as the top three.
The goal hangers dominate and secure three of the top five three spots, with the rest being politics (#2), the rest being history (#4), and the rest being soccer (#5). The rest is that history will invade the top five for the first time. The Archers, who debuted in the top 10, will rank 10th.
For the first time in the top 25, the BBC's America has climbed six spots to #24, perhaps driven by coverage of the US presidential election and the transition to the Trump White House. Sticking to soccer will be on the list and gain momentum at #25.
The Edison Podcast metric is unique in that it does not rely on podcast download data and does not require the podcast network to opt for services.
At least 2,000 weekly podcast listeners are surveyed quarterly in the UK, and listening behaviors are collected regardless of the listening platform. The same methodology used in the US is adopted in the UK
