Thindery has joined a streaming agreement offering Justice: Killer Privilege, which offers a New True Crime Limited series exclusively for Wondery+ Subscribers.
The podcast, produced by messages heard in relation to the standard (formerly the evening standard), is hosted by journalist Katie Strick, who has reported on the incident over the past decade.
In 2014, 23-year-old university graduate Alex Morgan worked in a commercial facility in London.
Shortly after Christmas he returned to Zurich where he met friends, including Bennett von Bertes, the super-rich son of the gallery owner, who lives as a teenager. They party hard early before Alex returns to his friend's villa.
Around 7am, Von Wertes called the police and reported that his friend was dead. Alex's list of injuries was extensive. He was thrown onto the coffee table, stabbed with glass shards and stabbed with lengthy candlesticks.
Alex died after choking with his own blood. Almost every bone in his head was broken, his teeth stuck in his throat. Bennett lasted only a small cut in his hand.
(in) Justice: Killer Privilege follows the story of his grieving mother, Katya Faber, as he fights to achieve justice for his son Alex.
The incident shocked the world back then, but now there are extraordinary details, including the history of killer violence.
Since his release from prison, new allegations against him have led to a cat and mouse game with authorities continuing to this day. To understand this case, the podcast explores the psychology of children with traumatic grief among the ultra-rich people, and the impact of power and wealth on today's judicial system.
(in)Justice – Killer Privilege will be on the 5th of March, allowing all episodes to use Binge without ads at launch. It will then be available to all readers through the standard platform from later this year.
