DMG Media has launched Crime Desk, a brand new podcast network for the company's slates of the award-winning True Crime Podcast.
The Crime Desk is launched with Trial+. This allows subscribers to access the trial franchise. This includes access to weekly bonus episodes covering the biggest ongoing cases, ad-free listening and full access to an already extensive archive.
Subscribers will have access to a new miniseries about the shocking developments that shook the Lucy Lecby incident.
Since its launch in 2023, the trial has received over 40 million downloads and remains at the forefront of opening courtrooms in the world of podcasting.
The episode offers detailed behind-the-scenes coverage of the Landmark Trial. Exclusive interviews from detectives, victims and experts, as well as detailed analysis of evidence of key moments and developments, have made the trial a credible voice of modern-day true criminal storytelling.
“We've got a lot of effort into making this a reality,” said Jamie East, DMG's podcast director. “The feedback from enthusiastic listeners was that they wanted more.
“The Crime Desk is home to an award-winning true crime podcast, and to kickstart it, Trial+ allows hosts to cover more cases, interview more people and answer more questions for their members.
“Since its launch, this trial has become a podcast phenomenon. Its unique and sensitive approach to true crime covers some of the largest trials in the country, and now covers the world's biggest trials in the world.”
This marks the beginning of DMG's expansion into subscription-based listening, with various brand new series in the coming months.
Starting today, Wednesday, March 19th, you can subscribe on the Crime Desk website or on the Apple podcasts.
