The Spotify Partner Program has expanded to France, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
First launched in the US, UK, Canada and Australia, the program increased its creator payments by more than 300% this January compared to January 2024.
Eligible audio and video creators in nine new markets can register starting April 29th, while SPP creators in the US, UK, Canada and Australia will have more opportunities to win premium video revenue in new markets.
The Spotify Partner Program offers audience-driven payments from Spotify Premium Video Engagement and the ability to monetize via ads on Spotify Free and all other podcast listening platforms.
The flexibility of multiple revenue streams gives creators a stronger control over their business and helps them adapt to seasonal changes while driving revenue.
Spotify says it removes premium, dynamic ad slots, but replaces it with a model that appears to be better for creators, users and advertisers over the long term.
Listeners now have access to larger and better catalogs of video podcasts, seamless backgrounds, and foreground switching, allowing users to watch videos uninterruptedly with dynamic ads for premium users.
