A behind-the-scenes podcast series has begun to celebrate Prussian Cove, an international musician seminar in Cornwall, for over 50 years.
IMS Prussia Cove plays musicians from all over the world together and play together in remote areas of the Cornish Coast.
Narrated by actor Samuel West, the series enters the artistic and creative process of IMS Prussia Cove's semi-annual seminars, tracking its history and exploring whether it means musicians for generations. This four-year podcast opens the door to how this extraordinary organization works.
Featured by artistic director Stephen Issellis, the podcast features interviews with IMS alumni such as Thomas Ades, Dam Imogen Cooper, Andras Keller and Sir Andras Schiff.
There are also clips from the archives and location recordings with others associated with the seminar, including Friends Petrock Trerowney (BBC Radio 3) and the late founders Sandor Vegg and Hilary Tunstall Behrens.
Over six episodes, the podcast continues to inspire IMS seminars to a new generation of musicians, from early on, through its creative vision behind the founding purpose of IMS Prussian Cove, its relationship with Cornwall's community, volunteers, audiences and this extraordinary place on the Corniche Coast.
