Heists, Scams & Lies is the latest series to join DMG Media's hit true podcast network The Crime Desk.
Hidden in one of London's safest streets, trapped 24 hours a day by ex-military security, the £75 million apartment in Kensington, Formula 1 heir Tamara Eclestone, was considered inexplicable.
However, in December 2019, as the Ecclestone family were abroad for Christmas, a group of professional thieves executed the perfect robber and disappeared for £25 million in diamonds, cash and gems. This meticulously planned raid has since become the biggest robber of the UK's history.
The study, hosted by crime correspondents George Oddling and Andy Gerring, explores five years of answers and uncovers a web of secrets and relationships with international organized crime.
Their search takes them all around the world as they chase the lead in the depths of the criminal world of South America, Milan and Serbia.
The pair speaks only to understand that Tamara's husband, Jay Rutland, the police chief, and even the thief's own acquaintance, that the gang has precisely separated such a quick and accurate operation.
Over five episodes, one of the series' robberies, frauds and lies unlocks the mystery of Ecclestone's missing diamonds.
The episode will be released weekly on Apple and Spotify starting today, April 23rd. Crime Desk members can listen to all episodes at startup. Plus, they exclusively get the award-winning podcast The Trial, ad-free listening at all crime desk shows, and weekly bonus episodes of early access to new upcoming series.
