The Myth & Fiction Podcast was launched by Flame Tree Publishing, and introduces the author and combines it with the timeless story of a classic writer.
The weekly released 30-minute episode features two short stories (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, supernatural, ancient stories, myths and folk tales), featuring new writings from the publisher's collection of short stories, as well as classic adventures from imaginations such as Poe, Lovecraft and more.
Additionally, special episodes are released each month with exclusive author interviews and behind the scenes insight into the book industry.
The first episode, “From Clockwork to Cloning,” explores the evolving relationship with technology. Alongside the classic story of Jerome K. Jerome's dance partner, the classic story of the robot & artificial intelligence collection, and the skinprint of Antonia Rachel Ward, it is an original story of learning and becoming human.
Other episodes include “Gothic Host” and “Sound of the Supernatural.”
The first monthly special opens a detailed conversation with editors Patrick Palinder and Emery Godfrey, a recent collection of Catherine Wells' writings recorded at the London Book Fair.
“The Flame Tree publisher Nick Wells said: “We love storytelling in many ways, so the new podcast reflects constant work with authors, encouraging writers by expanding from familiar, timeless narrative foundations from a fresh perspective into a new world and providing new markets for work.”
Episode 1 of Myth & Fiction Podcast, hosted by Olivia, Bea and Nick, will be available on all podcast platforms on Tuesday, May 6th.
