Season 2 of Boss Class, an economist leadership and management podcast, is on sale today.
This series provides advice and experience from CEOs, academics and other leaders. It is hosted by Andrew Palmer, author of Bartleby. Bartleby digs into the latest research and offers advice and comfort to managers trying to understand what workers do.
It features 15 episodes and features three formats. Six theme episodes, six leader interviews, and three company profiles. Interviewees include Lars Jorgensen (Novo Nordisk), Michelle Gass (Levi's), Ilkka Paananen (Supercell), and Liz Reid (Google).
Andrew Plamer said: “You can learn the secrets of great management, and last season I learned how to hire, run a team, and how to hold successful meetings.
“This season we will learn about innovation from Google's search manager, corporate culture from Novo Nordisk bosses, and decisions made from the CEO of Levi Strauss.
“We'll hear what Jazz needs to teach bosses about crisis management, how ransomware negotiators are moving towards their work, and whether podcast hosts can maintain their dignity during presentation training sessions.”
To celebrate the latest season, Economists are placing season 1 of the boss class in front of the paywall for a limited time. We also launch a weekly newsletter that gives subscribers direct access to Bartleby columnists, providing exclusive assistance with practical advice on many of the pitfalls of office life.
Boss Class is the fifth limited series created for Economist Podcast+, an Economist podcast subscription. Economist and Economist Podcast+ subscribers have exclusive access to the entire series.
The first two episodes and the first company profile will be available to non-subscribers. The entire series is here.
