Nominees for this year's 10 categories of International Women's Podcast Awards were announced today.
The event is now in its fifth year, and will be held at the BBC Radio Theatre in London on Tuesday, June 17th, with a global live stream available to faraway attendees.
Over a third of this year's entries used the IWPA Scholarship Fund, which began in 2022 and is supported by BBC Sound, Amazon Music and Wondery.
The scholarship provides free admission and ticket access to those who may benefit, and feedback once again highlights the importance of financial accessibility in the audio industry. This year's new initiative allows ticket holders to give someone else a face-to-face or virtual ticket.
The entries came from a wide range of countries, including Senegal, Qatar and the Philippines. The review board, which includes audio and podcasting experts from around the world, focused on the exceptional scope and quality of this year's submission.
The award is intended to recognize podcasters who create powerful works in areas such as education, storytelling, and creative production. Click here to see the candidates for 2025.
Tickets for the ceremony are available from the IWPA website.
