Bristol Community Radio Station BCFM has launched a new podcast series that provides practical and professional advice on important women's health topics.
Real Women Talk Health is produced in collaboration with NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire ICB.
The six-part series, hosted by award-winning broadcaster Shelley Eugene Hart, features different subjects for each episode, including menopause, duration, cervical screening, birth control, pelvic health, and sexual health.
The podcast aims to help women with easy-to-access, reliable information, by bringing together conversations, expert interviews and guidance from local specialists. It also provides signage for related services throughout the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire area.
Sherry Eugene Hart said: “Whether you're navigating menopause changes or checking neck health, whether a real woman speaks health is true, it's practical and directed towards local help.”
Dr. Katherine Carey Shelley, NHS women's health specialist, praised the podcast approach, saying, “By combining living experiences with local signs and local signs, real women's stories provide an innovative model for providing public health information in ways that truly resonate.”
The podcasts are available on major platforms, the BCFM website, the NHS well-recognized website, health and welfare services, self-care tools, and local public directories for local community support.
