The Financial Times has launched Wolf-Krugman Exchange, a six-part podcast series.
FT's Chief Economics Commentator, Martin Wolf joins Nobel Prize-winning economist and Professor Paul Krugman to explore how the economic system after World War II is broken and what will be an alternative.
Part of the Economics Show podcast, the series focuses on Donald Trump's return to US President in 2024 and the influence of the broader political and technological forces that are currently shaping the world economy.
In six episodes, Wolf and Krugman explore themes such as the rise in China's power, the role of artificial intelligence, and the outlook for the European economy.
“We live in moments of global upheaval,” Wolf said. “In these conversations, Paul and I aim to explore where this revolution came from and what the future will look like.”
The first episode is now released and focuses on declining confidence in US politics and financial institutions, weakening trade agreements and increasing uncertainty among American leaders.
New episodes will be released weekly until early July and are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, FT's YouTube channel, or where you can get your podcasts.
