A new series of audio acting podcast high notes featuring six new episodes featuring top professionals from the world of gaming, animation and casting.
Hosted by voice actor Melissa Tom, the show casts behind the scenes stories, secrets from people working at the highest levels of the industry, and explores creative insights.
The new series begins with Pixar casting director Kate Hansen Billumbaum. Kate Hansen Billum shares how she entered the business, what she was looking for in voice talent, and how Pixar can use anonymous auditions to reduce unconscious bias.
Future guests include Andrew Wheeldon Dennis in voice acting in video games, Merlin Crossingham from Ardman Animation, Jessica Jeffries on Mocup and Game casting, and Tom Keegan, performance director for major titles such as Call of Duty and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The series concludes on August 4th with Bob Bergen, the longtime voice of the Porky Pig.
Each 30-minute episode is aimed at experts, beginners, and anyone interested in voice acting.
Melissa Thom promotes projects on Rockstar, Zenimax, Google and Amazon, and is also the founder and CEO of Brava, a voice training platform of thousands of people all over the world.
“This season we're going to lift the curtains and reveal the reality that we're working in games and animation,” Tom said. “The goal is to make it clear to the world of voice acting and help the next generation break through.”
