Mistress, a new Audible Original Podcast hosted by Jameela Jamil and Dr. Kate Lister, uncovers scandalous and overlooked stories of the most extraordinary “other women” in history.
Over six episodes, the pair sees the hidden lives of their mistress, courtyards and concubines, and explores stories of gender, betrayal, murder, magic and plot.
Each episode delves deep into the most rumoured figures of actual history, and has been dismissed or on the sidelines up until now.
They were joined by Z historian and social media star General Katie Kennedy. Katie Kennedy is known online as a history gossip.
Among the features were Madame Montespan, the official mistress of Louis XIV, Madame de Montespan, and U Chao, the concubine who became China's only female emperor.
