Audicy has signed a multi-year contract extension with comedians Dana Kerrvey and David Spade, continuing his hit podcast fly on the wall.
New Deal deepens collaboration with two Audacy Saturday Night Live Stars, expanding the format of the podcast to combine audio and video to integrate the spinoff Superfly.
The first episode under the extension will be released on June 26th and feature special guest Julie Bowen. Starting June 30th, new episodes will be released every Monday and Thursday.
Released in January 2022, Fly On The Wall has become a favorite among SNL enthusiasts, winning the IheartPodcast award this year for Best Comedy Podcast and reaching number one in comedy on Apple Podcasts.
Guests include everyone from Lorne Michaels and Chris Rock to Tina Fey, Paul McCartney and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Released in February 2024, the spinoff Superfly will feature Carvey and Spade Talk freely talking about pop culture, viral clips and audience submissions with incisive comedies, impressions and semi-regular guest appearances.
Together, the show has generated over 100 million downloads so far.
Later this year, Fly On the Wall and Superfly will merge into one podcast with every episode available in full video. Interactive elements such as fan questions are also introduced to increase engagement.
“We've got a lot of effort into this world,” said Leah Reis Dennis, director of podcasts at Ordercy. “Dana and David have built one of the most engaging and successful comedy podcasts in the space. As momentum continues to grow, we are excited to take this next step and bring their content and community to life in new ways.”
Both Carvey and Spade remain common names with long-term comedy careers on screen and on stage, with the new format aimed at staying at the top of the podcast charts.
