PRIDE Daily, the world's only daily LGBTQ+ news podcast, will celebrate its first anniversary on October 16th.
Created and presented by former BBC Radio 5 Live presenter Kev McGrath, the two-minute update is aimed at everyone, not just queer people: “Even if you're not on an LGBTQ+ bus yourself, you definitely know someone who is,” he says.
Over the past 12 months, PRIDE Daily has been awarded “Acast Recommends” status by podcast companies and has also been promoted on the Pocket Casts and Goodpods apps, garnering listeners in countries including the US, Australia, Norway and the UK.
The podcast has released a number of specials over the past 12 months, including a “Queer Pioneers” week that featured profiles of pansexual performer Demi Lovato and Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, the world's first openly gay prince.
PRIDE Daily also appeared on the lineup of national LGBTQ+ radio station Virgin Radio Pride over the summer, alongside comedian Tom Allen, Bradley Riches from the hit Netflix series Heartstopper and DJ Jodie Hirsch.
