Following Absolute Radio's decision to end Frank Skinner's radio show six months ago, it will be revived as a twice-weekly podcast in partnership with Adelicious.
The award-winning radio show, which has been running for 15 years, has won ARIA's Best Speech Program (2011 and 2014), Best Entertainment/Comedy Production (2017), and Best Community Program Featuring Al Gore. (2018) won four gold awards.
The hugely popular show has achieved over 100 million podcast downloads since its launch, making it one of the UK's most successful radio podcasts, and Frank was inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame in 2015. In May 2024, the radio show was nominated for an ARIA Award for Best Comedy, although it was canceled the following week.
Frank Off The Radio, The Frank Skinner Podcast, airs two episodes every Friday and Monday.
Former co-hosts broadcaster, author and podcaster Emily Dean and comedian and author Pierre Novelly will reunite with Frank for the podcast.
Frank Skinner's critically acclaimed poetry podcast, which regularly ranks at the top of national podcast charts, will also return with more in due course in partnership with Adelicious.
Frank Skinner said, “It's like in those old movies where the kids are denied going to the big theater and one of them says, 'Why don't we do the show here in the barn?'” I think the barn is perfect for us. ”
Frank Off the Radio's Frank Skinner Podcast, produced by Avalon, will be available on all mainstream podcast platforms starting October 11th. For inquiries about the show, please contact Frankofftheradio@avalonuk.com.
