Olympic snowboarder, broadcaster and author Amy Fuller hosts a newly rebranded special series on the award-winning National Lottery's podcast Game Changers.
Produced by Listen, the series celebrates 30 years of the National Lottery and sees Amy travel across the UK to hear the stories of people who have changed the game with the help of National Lottery funding.
Amy will share the stories of eight people from all walks of life from across the UK, with special guest appearances from actor Sir Tony Robinson, broadcaster Claire Balding, DJ Adele Roberts and more.
It features music initiatives that provide a springboard for artists such as chart-toppers Rizzle Kicks, and is supported by Rag and Bone Man.
Alice Dearing, the first black woman to swim for Team GB at the Olympics, will also be featured. Meanwhile, at Jodrell Bank, with the help of pioneering physicists, the universe is revealed in bold new ways, and wonders emerge even from Earth, thanks to the minds behind the Eden Project.
The link between all of this is that it is supported by National Lottery players who have raised £30 million for good causes across the UK.
Amy Fuller, who also hosts her own podcast, Monday Mile, said: “Over the past 30 years, the National Lottery has helped change the game across the UK.
“It’s great to learn about the inspiration and motivation behind some of the incredible people who have achieved extraordinary feats with National Lottery funding.
“From physicists to visionary thinkers, Grammy Award winners to Olympians, this 30th anniversary series of the National Lottery’s Game Changers Podcast has it all.
“And as a former elite athlete, I was lucky enough to benefit directly from National Lottery funding and saw how it helped us bring home tons of medals at the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“In this series, we meet amazing people across the UK who are making their mark in every aspect of life, meet some familiar faces and explore how National Lottery funding has enabled them to achieve their dreams. Let's go. Reality.
“We hope you will join us on this exciting and innovative journey.”
National Lottery's Jonathan Tuchner added: “National Lottery players have been changing lives every day for the past 30 years, raising over £30 million every week for great causes.
“National Lottery players should be extremely proud to support the amazing people and projects featured in Game Changers.
“These are just some of the life-changing works that have been carried out across the UK over the past 30 years with support from the National Lottery.”
Darby Drass, Director of Content at Listen, said:
