Shocking allegations and conspiracies surrounding one of hip-hop's biggest names, Sean 'Diddy' Combs, are explored in a new BBC Sounds podcast.
Diddy, a huge name in the music industry, is currently incarcerated in a New York jail awaiting trial, accused of sex trafficking, transportation for prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. He denies all charges.
BBC journalist Anushka Mutanda-Doherty explores the truth behind the headlines and considers how these allegations have put hip-hop, and the wider music industry, firmly in the spotlight.
This podcast explores conspiracy theories that threaten to destroy Hollywood and rumors that some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry are complicit in abuse. Anushka says she has heard from alleged victims and their stories reveal a dark underbelly beneath the glitz and glamour.
The line between fact and fiction is blurring, and rumors are flying around on the internet. Each week, Anushka is joined by expert guests and people at the center of the story. They work together to examine every item of investigation and interrogate what is true and what is not.
Anushka Mutanda-Doherty said: He wasn't just a hit maker or talent spotter. He played a fundamental role in bringing music from the fringes of pop culture to the mainstream.
“When the allegations surfaced, it was clear how big this was going to be. But it's also a breeding ground for rumors and conspiracies, and I look forward to getting to the bottom of it.
