In our third interview with Sam Nass, we discussed her continued fight to be reunited with her young children. Sam was himself trafficked to the UK, where he believed he had found safety and sanctuary and sought to rebuild his life here. When she sought help from local social services, her children were taken away. She loved only them. She has never hurt or ignored them.

Sam said he thinks about his children every minute of every day. Sam said she is still fighting in and out of secret family courts to get her children back. She described the turmoil of secret family court hearings and court officials, local government officials, and experts who displayed conflicts of interest. Sam spoke of the psychological pressure and fear placed on her to get her to recant, including threats of imprisonment. Arrested at a protest in Whitehall, she was manhandled by a male police officer and threatened with a strip search. Her letters to Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other senior politicians have been ignored.
