Actor Hugh Bonneville is narrating a collection of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's greatest mysteries for BBC Sounds.
A new 16-part Sherlock Holmes short story series from award-winning podcaster Noiser includes capers like “The Adventures of the Speckled Band,'' “The League of the Reds,'' and “The Twisted-Lipped Man.'' .
These are brought to life by immersive sound design and bespoke music that combines faithful readings of the source material with atmospheric soundscapes, creating a cinematic yet intimate experience for listeners.
Hugh Bonneville said: “The stories of Sherlock Holmes have been part of the literary world for generations and we are thrilled to be able to bring them to life for listeners this Christmas season.
“The carefully curated stories in this series are a great example of Conan Doyle's skill at immersing audiences in the world of the legendary detective.

The first episode of Sherlock Holmes Short Stories is currently available on BBC Sounds, with new episodes released every Thursday.
