Steve Carsey joins Bauer Media Audio as Director (Speech) with the mandate to focus on the company's podcast portfolio and on-demand content.
In this new role, Steve will report to Gary Stein, Bauer's director of audio, and will build new capabilities for audio and on-demand content. We also plan to expand our current portfolio to create market-leading podcasts across multiple genres.
Steve joins from Bertelsmann, where he held the role of Managing Director of Audio Alliance (UK), overseeing all aspects of the company's English language radio programming and podcast production.
His previous experience includes working at Audible UK. There, as Senior Director, Originals (International), he managed strategy, production, and commissioning for Amazon's global audience entertainment services in English. He also held the role of Chief Creative Officer for ITN Productions when the team was nominated for Indie of the Year.
