A radio legend, Johnny has been a constant companion to many, from his days announcing the latest charts on Radio 1, to guiding us home on Radio 2's Drivetime, to today presenting the perfect Sunday soundtrack with his 70's sounds and weekly The Rock Show.
His radio career and life challenges have been well-reported and to mark Radio 2's Carers Week, the show, exclusive to BBC Sounds, sees Jonny and his wife, producer and writer Tiggy, discuss life, love and death in a frank and painfully honest conversation.
Tiggy intimately tells the story of their life together, from the day they met to the present, as she cares for Johnny as he faces various health challenges.
Tiggy Walker also guested on BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show today, Monday 10 June, and excerpts from the show were broadcast as part of the show's discussion about Carers Week.
