HistoryExtra Podcast has launched a new three-part series titled “D-Day: Land, Air, Sea,” with the final episode released today on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
This podcast tells the story of the Allied invasion of Normandy from the perspective of the soldiers, sailors and airmen who served.
Featuring interviews and eyewitness testimony from World War II experts Saul David, Nick Hewitt and Giles Milton, the episode covers the key events of 6 June 1944 and their impact today.
Also released today is a bonus episode about Churchill and the Normandy landings, with Richard Dannatt and Allen Packwood discussing the Prime Minister's role in one of the key moments of the Second World War.
