Wondery has announced “More to the Story,” a kickoff campaign to launch its umbrella brand, History Tellers.
The History Tellers brand brings “more richness to stories” by introducing new voices, sharing untold stories, and revealing untold elements of familiar tales.
The focus will be on publishing, live events, and podcast content covering both non-fiction and fiction.
The first campaign, launching on July 10, will coincide with a range of new podcasts including the Wondery+ limited series “Unsinkable,” a hit historical fiction audio film produced in Dolby Atmos from creators Misha Crosby and John Mawson, and featuring the voices of Brian Cox, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Malkovich and Harry Hamlin.
Additionally, a new season of the popular podcast “American History Tellers,” focusing on the First Lady of the United States, will premiere on June 26th, and new seasons of “American Scandal,” “British Scandal,” “Tides of History,” “History Daily,” “Legacy,” “Even the Royals,” “Black History” and “For Real” will be available over the coming months.
“History is Wonderly's core genre, and fans of all ages have responded so positively to our unique approach to telling history, signaling an opportunity for fresh, contemporary brands to enter the history space,” said Nicole Blake, chief brand officer at Wonderly.
“History Tellers is truly a disruptive brand, and we are committed to cultivating a 360° experience for our fans that features fresh voices and perspectives across all touchpoints.”
Blad Norman, global head of marketing at Wondery, commented: “The ‘More to the Story’ campaign is a continuation of our redefined brand marketing strategy, launched earlier this year, to reach new audiences.
“We support Wondery's diverse and rich selection of high-quality historical content, combining suspense, surprises and emotion, and hope to deepen our connection with fans and convey the stories in greater depth and detail.”
The complete collection of History Tellers content can be found on the Wondery website.
