Lily Allen & Mikita Oliver, Gary Lineker, Rob Barrow CBE, Emily Maitlis, Annie McManus and Gabby Logan are among the nominees for the 2024 UK Podcast Awards.
Winners will be announced at a star-studded awards ceremony on Thursday 26th September at HERE, The Outernet London.
This year, more than 180 nominees across 25 categories will compete for the coveted trophy.
Miss Me? starring Lily Allen and Mikita Oliver, Springleaf starring James Akerster and Where There's a Will, There's a Wake starring Kathy Burke are nominated for Best Entertainment.
The Spotlight Award recognizes hit shows that have more than 100,000 downloads per episode and have helped propel a medium into the mainstream, and will see a head-to-head battle between “Help I Sexted My Boss,” “The News Agents” and “The Traitors: Uncloaked with Ed Gamble.”
DJ and presenter Annie McManus has been nominated for two separate podcasts: Best Arts & Culture for BBC Sounds' Sidetracked with co-host Nick Grimshaw, and Best Interview Podcast for her solo venture, Changes. Other notable nominations include a Rising Star Award for the late Rob Barrow CBE.
The judging panel, co-chaired by RedHanded's Leanne Alie, Hannah Maguire and Suruthi Bala, listened to more than 1,000 submissions over 11 days.
The Listener's Choice category is the only UK podcast awards where the vote is decided by the public rather than by a judging panel, and is open now. Voting can be done on the BPA website and closes on 29th August. Tickets can also be purchased via the website.
